ROOM ACOUSTICS SPECULATION – STUDY

Computer aided design software now-a days have changed completely the approach to problems of prediction of rooms acoustic measurements. Smart Project engineers use the most recent and accurate software of room modeling to represent complex geometry rooms in 3D. Software used is EASE® 4.4, AURA and EARS AhnertFeistal Media Group (AFMG) Acoustics and Sound systems design software. Through software like the above engineers can model complicated room acoustic designs in 3D by adding properties of materials to surfaces that consist room construction. This method is determinant for predicting the acoustic factors like room acoustic behavior parameters.

The speculation of such room acoustic projects, preview room-by-room behavior and provides the information of acoustic materials and intervention of acoustic treatments required to achieve the acoustic parameters suitable for room(s) under study. Includes typical calculations of:

  • Reverberation Time: RT60, RT30, RT20, RT10
  • Speech intelligibility measures: STI according to IEC 60268-16:2020, RaSTI, ALCons
  • D/R Ratio (Direct/Reverberant ratio)
  • Critical Distance
  • Clarity and Definition Measures: C7, C50, C80, C-Split
  • Sound Pressure Levels: L7, L50, L80, L-Split

NOISE CONTROL SPECULATION – STUDY
NOISE CONTROL SPECULATION – STUDY

Noise control is a very important part of construction stage and a determinative consideration suitable for majority of constructions of any kind of building.

Noise sources that can be reached indoor can include noise from adjacent room, ventilation noise or HVAC duct and fans noise, compressors noise, pump noise, generator noise etc.

Those different noise sources are analyzed in bandwidth OBCF through measurement or prediction modeling (or both for verification).

Smart Project engineers follow the three main steps to approach internal noise sources and control solutions to the problems. These steps are:

  • Noise sources analysis
  • Noise measurements pre-solution and post-solution
  • Report of problem approach and solutions proposal

The speculation study includes noise problems quantified with measurements or predictions of planned noise sources. Also, includes proposed solutions with calculations, and mitigation and practicing measures to be constructed for noise control.

With use of INSUL 9.0 latest special software Smart Project engineers can safely predict structural materials behavior of noise reduction measured in Rw and the responding frequency analysis.

• SECURITY AUDIO SPECULATION - STUDY (ASSESSMENTS – SPECULATION & SYSTEM DESIGN)

SECURITY AUDIO SPECULATION - STUDY (ASSESSMENTS – SPECULATION & SYSTEM DESIGN)

The issue of security is more than ever important. Voice alarm systems should be reliable and energy-saving combining all important functions for PA/VA consisting a group of certified electronic rack-mount units and certified speakers. Designing such audio security systems specific specs under European and US standards should be applied.

The EN 54 standards became mandatory in 2013 in all EU member states by the construction product regulation 305/2011. Three parts of this standard ensure the functionality of the system under extreme environmental conditions:

  • Part 4: refers to power supplies
  • Part 16: refers to voice alarm control and indicating equipment
  • Part 24: refers to loud speakers

Steps of design procedure include:

  • Electroacoustic Study by modeling Rooms where calculations of SPL and RT60 should be elaborated. These should be checked under expected background noise to understand the audible range by listeners
  • STi calculations for the modeled Rooms to check if a good-very good range of index can be reached or further acoustic treatment or/and further direct sound should be achieved.
  • Speaker Cables infrastructure should be with fire-resistant cables of 60 or 90min to provide enough time to speaker zones to operate under extreme fire conditions providing enough time to listeners for evacuation of buildings.
  • Certified Electronics (EN54-16) should be placed in dedicated control rooms in certified racks to protect electronics and terminations
  • Certified (EN54-24) speakers should be placed at electroacoustic position to obtain the required sound field and sound pressure, providing also the expected intelligibility score for full understanding of paging and live announcements.
  • Certified power supply management (EN54-4) and battery packs for 60 or 90 minutes with chargers for battery packs

Most of current production EN-54 security sound systems are IP systems to simplify cable distances with reliability and easier fault inspection.

Speculation study includes:

  • Electroacoustic design
  • RT60 and acoustic treatments proposal if is required
  • STi calculations
  • Block Diagrams of speaker zones and electronics including cable specs
  • Electronics rack layout
  • Peripherals connections (paging EN54-16 microphones, fire-man priority microphones, measuring microphones for automatic sound level adjustments) under IP connections
  • Priority announcements lists
  • Remote connections and maintenance controlling

• AUDIO - AV – SECURITY AUDIO INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING

AUDIO - AV – SECURITY AUDIO INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING

Smart Project field engineers and the technician staff has delivered under difficult circumstances project installations and commissioning. Either working at height of 40-50m for speaker ringing or difficult aiming of speaker to field, as speculation study imposes.

Electronics are always according the proper cable arrangements and correctly built as per the rack layout of the speculation study. Unit tests, sound level measurements under pink noise or program are tested as well as frequency analysis is checked through the different project positions.

DSP programming and electronics parameter settings is integral part of the installation.

• COMMISSIONING AND MESUREMENTS

The commissioning procedure is one of the most important stage of a project. Speculation study is checked in comparison to applied and “as build” construction. Any divergence should be noticed and explained. As build measurements are very important to check final construction details and declining from initial predictions of the study.

Measurements are made with Class 1 measurement tools like precession microphones. These microphones should be calibrated every recommended by constructor time gap, depending from the frequently use of the measurement tool.

Smart Project uses iPrecesion Mic from Studio Six Digital and is connected to Apple iPAD and uses Audio Tools software.

• IT INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN

IT INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN

Questions that should be answered during IT infrastructure design stage is how secure, stable and reliable the network is. A network assessment should be performed to ensure how susceptible your network is to security problems or attacks, and also identify bottlenecks (like heavy users, poor network design or outdated hardware) that cause performance problems.

When a cluttered network is hamstringing your end users’ ability to be productive, the entire business suffers. By remediating performance issues and prioritizing and eliminating bottlenecks, you’ll discover noticeable boosts in staff efficiency, productivity and even satisfaction. To achieve this we perform steps as follow:

1. Critical System Summary
We focus in to understand your infrastructure and your business needs. Between our specialty network assessment tools and interviews with your team, we’re able to fully document all aspects of your current IT environment.

2. Business Impact Analysis
